Sauteed Cabbage

Ingredients

  

  • 1 tablespoon(s) toasted pumpkin seed or sesame oil
  • 2 medium shallots, diced
  • 2 teaspoon(s) minced fresh ginger root
  • 3 cup(s) shredded red cabbage
  • 3 cup(s) shredded Napa cabbage
  • 8 ounce(s) Irish beer
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

 

  • Heat the pumpkin seed oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Place shallots and ginger in the skillet, and cook until tender.
  • Mix in red cabbage and Napa cabbage, and cook about 2 minutes.
  • Pour in the beer.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Reduce heat to medium, cover skillet, and continue cooking 5 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.
  • Ready in 15 min.
