
Sauteed Cabbage
Looking for an awesome and authentic St. Patty’s Day side? This beer-scented, cabbage saute is sure to tempt the taste buds. One bite and no one will put up a stink.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon(s) toasted pumpkin seed or sesame oil
- 2 medium shallots, diced
- 2 teaspoon(s) minced fresh ginger root
- 3 cup(s) shredded red cabbage
- 3 cup(s) shredded Napa cabbage
- 8 ounce(s) Irish beer
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) freshly ground black pepper
Instructions

Heat the pumpkin seed oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Place shallots and ginger in the skillet, and cook until tender.

Mix in red cabbage and Napa cabbage, and cook about 2 minutes.

Pour in the beer.

Season with salt and pepper.

Reduce heat to medium, cover skillet, and continue cooking 5 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.

Ready in 15 min.
