Tempura Fondue

High fry! Kick and back and whip up a batch of this tempura fondue. And be sure not to skimp on the shrimp.

  • 1 onion, cut in eighths

  • 1 eggplant, in chunks

  • 1 egg, yolk, batter
  • 16 floz ice water, batter
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) baking soda, batter
  • 2 1/4 cup(s) flour, batter
  • 3 3/4 cup(s) peanut oil, batter
  • 1/4 cup(s) sesame oil, batter

Instructions

 

  • Beat egg with ice water, baking soda, add flour stirring – batter should be light.
  • Heat oil to 350.
  • Spear food, dip into batter, and cook in oil, approximately 2 minutes.
  • Ready in 25 min.
