Spaghetti Marinara

Ingredients

  

  • 8 ounce(s) spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon(s) extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 39/50 cup(s) (1-14 1/2 oz. can) of chunky stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (6 oz.) can of tomato paste
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) garlic salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon(s) dried basil, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon(s) parsley flakes, to taste

Instructions

 

  • Combine olive oil, chunky stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, and 3 oz of water in a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Add garlic salt, basil, and parsley flakes.
  • In another kettle or pot, add 3 quarts of water and bring to a boil.
  • Add 8 oz of spaghetti, return to boil and stir occasionally.
  • Do not cover kettle or pot.
  • Allow cooking for 9 minutes.
  • Drain spaghetti and add marinara sauce.
