Forget kissing these grits — you’ll kiss the cook when you dip your spoon into these creamy, dreamy grits. A popular Southern staple, these grits go great with just about any dish — from fried chicken to fried shrimp. And they only take a few minutes.
Ingredients
- 32 floz water
- 1 cup(s) yellow stone ground grits
- 1/2 cup(s) milk
- 1 cup(s) chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon(s) salt
- 1 teaspoon(s) white pepper
- 16 ounce(s) heavy whipping cream
Instructions

Bring water to boil in heavy pot.

Add remaining ingredients and return to boil, stirring constantly.

Reduce heat; simmer 35 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Grits are done when they are a thick and creamy consistency.
