  • 1 corned beef brisket with seasoning pack
  • 1 head cabbage, roughly chopped
  • 1 salt and pepper
  • 6 teaspoon(s) bacon grease

Instructions

 

  • Fill pot with water and bring to slow simmer.
  • Add brisket and contents of seasoning pack.
  • Boil 3 to 3 1/2 hours until tender.
  • Put 1/4 cup water in a separate pot and bring to a boil.
  • Add cabbage, beef base, salt and pepper.
  • Steam until tender.
