Stuffed Oysters
An elegant appetizer that can easily be double, tripled or increased even more for a party crowd.
Ingredients
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1/4 roasted red pepper, cut into strips
- 1 handful fresh spinach, chopped
- 2 slices prosciutto ham, cut into strips
- 4 mushrooms, sliced
- 2 teaspoon(s) garlic
- 2 ounce(s) melted butter
- 1 cup(s) Japanese breadcrumbs
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) basil
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) thyme
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) oregano
- 6 oysters on the half shell
- 3 slices provolone cheese, halved
Instructions

Saute onions, peppers, spinach, ham and mushrooms in garlic butter.

Add breadcrumbs and spices.

Stuff mixture into oyster shells with oysters.

Place in 400-degree oven for 7 minutes.

Remove, top with provolone.

Bake an additional 1 1/2 minutes, until cheese melts.

Drizzle with garlic butter and serve.
