Meatloaf Milanese
A homestyle dish like meatloaf is an easy, economical way to bring the whole family to the table. A lightened-up version of this fabulous comfort food will make everyone happy.
Ingredients
- 16 ounce(s) lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup(s) egg substitute
- 1/2 cup(s) Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/2 can tomato paste
- 2 tablespoon(s) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 small onion, minced
- 2 tablespoon(s) light butter
- 1 tablespoon(s) garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) salt, to taste
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) pepper, to taste
Instructions

In a large bowl combine the beef, egg substitute, crumbs, paste and Parmesan.

In a small saucepan, saute the onion in the butter with the garlic powder until translucent.

Add to the beef mixture and combine well.

Add salt and pepper.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Serve with ketchup if desired.
