Bruschetta
Fresh, bright bruscetta puts the punch back in your dinner bread. This recipe tops sour dough bread with Italian tomatoes, sweet basil, and extra virgin olive oil, making it a perfect pairing for your pasta meal.

- 8 slices, or 8" round "wheel" sour dough French bread loaf
- 1/4 cup(s) olive oil
- 1 tablespoon(s) butter, melted
- 2 to 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 2 to 3 Italian tomatoes, cubed
- 1 cup(s) (Small bunch) fresh basil, chopped
- 1 dash(es) salt, to taste
Slice the bread and brush each half with a light coat of melted butter and a heavier coat of olive oil.
Sprinkle on garlic and salt.
Toast lightly in oven under broil setting (careful don't scorch the butter).
Remove and immediately top with diced tomatoes and basil.
Serve immediately.
