Turkey Gravy

Your guests will gobble up this savory sauce. Skip the store bought jars and create this delicious gravy made with real turkey stock. Try adding some fresh herbs, such as rosemary, for an even more intense flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup(s) all-purpose flour
  • 5 cup(s) turkey stock
  • 4 ounce(s) (1/2 cup) dry white winel
  • 1 dash salt, to taste
  • 1 dash black pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a 10- to 12-inch frying pan over high heat, stir flour until it's a medium-brown color, 6 to 7 minutes.
  • If making ahead, pour into a jar and cover.
  • Add toasted flour to drippings in a medium saucepan, bring the turkey stock and wine to a boil.
  • Set pan over high heat and stir, scraping drippings free, until gravy boils vigorously, then simmer and stir 4 to 5 more minutes.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
