Sugar Free Christmas Cut-outs

Cut out the sugar and add in the goodness! This treat is the perfect holiday goody. It's more like a biscuit than a cookie. For an extra sugar kick, liven them up add sprinkles or icing.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup(s) shortening
  • 9 teaspoon(s) sugar substitute with aspartame
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 cup(s) cake flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 1/2 cup(s) skim milk
  • 1 floz water
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Cream shortening, add sugar substitute and egg; beat well.
  • In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients; add the milk, vanilla, and water.
  • Put in flour mixture and stir well.
  • Chill dough 2 to 4 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Roll out 1/8 inch thick and cut the cookies.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 min.
  • Cool.
  • Keep in airtight container.
