La Caprese

You don't need to go to Capri to have this special dish; it's more than a salad, especially if the mozzarella is the real deal!

Ingredients
  

  • 32 ounce(s) Fresh Mozzarella
  • 8 roma tomatoes, sliced in. thick
  • 2 tablespoon(s) Fresh basil, or as much as desired
  • 2 tablespoon(s) Extra-virgin olive oil, or as much as desired
  • 1 teaspoon(s) sea salt, to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Slice the mozzarella in 1/4 inch slices.
  • On a serving platter, arrange mozzarella and tomato slices, alternating and overlapping a bit.
  • Top with basil.
  • Drizzle with olive oil, season salt and pepper.
  • This can be assembled in just a few minutes at the party.
  • It is a great salad and looks great too.
