Homestyle Chili

When you're in the mood for homestyle chili, this dish does the trick. It is especially great for a cold winter day and can be easily doubled. Take a chili pill.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounce(s) ground beef
  • 4 tablespoon(s) chili powder
  • 2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1 teaspoon(s) sugar
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 4 cup(s) cans tomatoes
  • 8 floz water
  • 1 floz salad oil
  • 1/8 cup(s) flour
  • 3 cup(s) cans pinto beans or kidney beans

Instructions
 

  • Brown ground beef; add chili powder, salt, sugar, onion, green pepper, tomatoes, and water.
  • Simmer until all is cooked.
  • Add rest of ingredients, mixing flour with liquid from beans for thickening.
