Heart Healthy Baked Potatoes

Just because your dietary needs have changed doesn't mean you have to give up your favorite foods. These heart-healthy, baked French fries are just as good as your favorite deep fried pub fries.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 medium baking potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon(s) dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoon(s) malt vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Scrub potatoes thoroughly.
  • Cut each potato lengthwise into 6 wedges.
  • Place wedges in a medium bowl and cover with cold water.
  • Let stand 30 minutes.
  • Drain and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Place potatoes and oil in a medium bowl and toss to coat evenly; place potatoes on baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle with pepper and oregano.
  • Bake 45 to 50 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle with malt vinegar.
  • Ready in 1 hour.
