Guacamole

Holy Guacamole! What's gourmet Mexican food without some homemade guacamole? This great-tasting recipe is hardly the pits. Serve with tacos, burritos, enchiladas and more.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup(s) onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon(s) garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoon(s) chili powder
  • 2 teaspoon(s) cumin
  • 2 cup(s) frozen peas
  • 2 2/5 ounce(s) water
  • 4 teaspoon(s) lemon juice
  • 2 ounce(s) avocado, chopped
  • 1/4 cup(s) tomato, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook first 4 ingredients in a nonstick pan over medium heat until onion is soft.
  • Add the peas and water.
  • Cover and cook 3 minutes.
  • Puree in blender until smooth.
  • (A blender works better than a food processor for this recipe).
  • Let cool and add remaining ingredients.
  • Serve as a side salad, with tortillas or with nacho chips.
