Caramel and chocolate lovers get the added benefit of fruit with this favorite Halloween treat. Get creative with toppings to really have fun!

Ingredients
  

  • 25 apples, washed
  • 50 caramels (14 oz. bag)
  • 25 wooden sticks
  • 1 floz water
  • 1/2 cup(s) Chocolate chips topping, if desired
  • 1/2 cup(s) coconut topping, if desired
  • 1 teaspoon(s) sprinkles for topping, if desired

Instructions
 

  • Melt caramels with water in double boiler over low heat.
  • Stir occasionally until smooth.
  • Insert sticks into apples.
  • Dip apples into hot caramel sauce, turning to coat.
  • Place on waxed paper, chill until firm.
  • Decorate with toppings if desired.
