Crockpot Pork

A little time for a taste that's simply divine! This decadent pork shoulder takes a time investment on your part. You'll need to marinate it for 24 hours and then cook it in the crock-pot. One taste and you'll see why it's worth the wait.

Ingredients
  

  • 40 ounce(s) boneless pork shoulder
  • 3 teaspoon(s) brown sugar
  • 6 teaspoon(s) Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon(s) salt
  • 1 tablespoon(s) cumin
  • 1 tablespoon(s) paprika
  • 1 tablespoon(s) fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon(s) chili powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon(s) mesquite powder
  • 1/2 cup(s) frozen apple juice concentrate
  • 1/2 cup(s) cider vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Combine the ingredients from 2 to 9.
  • Spread over entire roast.
  • Refrigerate roast in a Ziploc bag for up to 24 hours.
  • Place apple juice and vinegar in a crock-pot and add the spiced shoulder being careful not to lose the rub.
  • Cook on high for two hours, and then reduce to low for 10 more hours.
  • Remove the roast and let rest for 30 minutes.
  • Pull roast apart with two forks.
