Cold Cuts Calzone

Need something non-fattening that will also please the children? Try the cold cut calzone, which has a bit of something in it for everyone. Believe us, you will go hot for the cold cut!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 pound(s) salami
  • 1/4 pound(s) mortadella, beef, pork
  • 1/4 cup(s) shredded cheese, mozzarella
  • 2 cheese slices, provolone
  • 1 pinch(es) butter
  • 1 pinch(es) grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 bread dough, white enriched, frozen loaves
  • 1 dash(es) spices, oregano, dried
  • 1 dash(es) spices, parsley, dried
  • 1 dash(es) garlic
  • 1 dash(es) salt, table
  • 1 dash(es) spices, pepper, black
  • 1/4 pound(s) ham, sliced, regular (approximately 11% fat)

Instructions
 

  • Thaw the bread dough according to directions on the package.
  • Then spread it out in a flat surface so that it is in the shape of a bread loaf (only tripled in width and flat).
  • Melt the butter and add spices you like, together with a few dustings of grated Parmesan cheese to the melted butter.
  • The butter mixture can then be spread on the flattened dough.
  • Then layer the salami, other cold cuts and Provolone cheese on 1/2 of the dough.
  • Then you can sprinkle the Mozzarella cheese over the top.
  • Then fold over the bread dough, squeezing the edges together with your fingers.
  • Place the dough on a rack in a flat baking pan with sides.
  • Bake it in the oven about 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • You can tell if it is done if it has browned on the surface of the dough.
  • Take it out and slice it like you should bread.
