Chili Red Beans

Spice up your supper and enjoy every bite. You will go red in the face over how good a dish this is! A big load of flavored beans with beef and onions in a hot spicy dish. Bean there done that and then come back for seconds!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
  • 1 cup(s) chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 32 ounce(s) coarsely ground chuck
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 3 tablespoon(s) chili powder
  • 3 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 teaspoon(s) sugar
  • 3 cup(s) tomato sauce
  • 16 floz water
  • 4 cup(s) red kidney beans, drained
  • 2 tablespoon(s) Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 cup(s) Shredded cheese
  • 10 crackers

Instructions
 

  • In heavy saucepan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until warm.
  • Add onions and garlic and saut until soft.
  • Add beef and salt.
  • Cook until beef is browned throughout.
  • Drain excess fat.
  • Add chili, cumin, Worcestershire, tomato sauce, sugar and water.
  • Bring pot to low boil and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add red kidney beans and simmer 15 minutes.
  • Add Tabasco sauce to taste, and more salt if desired.
  • Top with shredded cheese and serve with crackers.
  • Ready in 1 hour.
