Ingredients
For 10 people
1 tablespoon(s) salad oil
2medium onions, chopped
2cloves minced garlic
48 ounce(s) coarsely ground chuck
2 tablespoon(s) chili powder
1/2 teaspoon(s) dried oregano
1 teaspoon(s) salt
4 floz dark rum
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1(28 oz.) can tomatoes
6 cup(s) cans drained kidney beans ( 3 cans)
Directions
Heat oil in an 8-quart pot. Lightly saut onion and garlic. Add meat, breaking up and stirring with wooden spoon until color changes. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 2 hours, stirring now and then. Check for seasoning.
