Low Sodium Strawberry & Spinach Salad

Ingredients

For 1 people

  • 2 tablespoon(s) sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon(s) poppy seeds
  • 1/2 cup(s) white sugar
  • 1/2 cup(s) olive oil
  • 1/4 cup(s) distilled white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon(s) minced onion
  • 1 10 oz. fresh spinach - rinsed, dried and torn into bite-size pieces
  • 4 cup(s) strawberries - cleaned, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup(s) pecans, blanched and slivered

Directions

In a medium bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Cover, and chill for one hour. In a large bowl, combine the spinach, strawberries and pecans. Pour dressing over salad, and toss. Refrigerate 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
