A slightly tamer environment might be the gym or a sporting event, but if he's physically exerting himself, you won't get his undivided attention. Guys are competitive and fairly focused in these environments. Not to mention if he's benching a few hundred pounds, he really ought to be concentrating on that, not you. Two places where it seems ideal to meet men might be the workplace and your apartment building, if you live in one. However, consider the proximity to which you're near a potential mate. If it doesn't work out, how awkward is that going to be? There are issues with mixing love and your career as well - if things go really bad, then you might be forced to look elsewhere for employment.
