You may have seen scrapbooks created by grandparents, other parents or simply crafty types that are works of art, or you may have heard of scrapbooking "parties," where moms learn how to create these works of art for themselves and their families. If the idea of this kind of memory saver appeals to you, then you might not be sure how to go about creating a scrapbook that reflects your family's memories - and doesn't take a ton of time to put together. If you need inspiration, then start with your child's interests. If you have a new baby, then why not draw inspiration from her nursery décor? From there, you can visit the craft store to choose an inexpensive post-bound album - be sure it's a manageable size; you don't want a giant, intimidating page to have to fill up. For the first year, one page per month is sufficient, and four pictures per month is doable. Be sure to include growth charts, special people she meets, milestones and anything else notable. As kids grow and life gets busier, then you may want to rely on technology to help you out with scrapbooking.
