The only thing worse than feeling sick is looking the part. You know what we're talking about -- chapped lips, puffy eyes, red nose and fever blisters. Even after you're past the point of being contagious, the unsightly aftermath can linger for some time to come and leave you looking like you're completely contaminated. So how do you look good even when you're feeling kind of bad? Well, for starters, prevention is key. Forget napkins, toilet paper and paper towels. Use only tissues with lotion, specifically vitamin E and aloe. This will prevent redness and irritation caused by repeatedly blowing your nose. In the event you aren't able to stave away sores around the nose, you may want to apply a hydrocortisone cream (1%) to speed up the healing process. To cover up the area, apply a small amount of concealer to the area. It's also important to keep an eye on your peepers. Those red, puffy eyes often scream sickness. Before handling the inside, deal with the outside. Soak a couple of caffeinated tea bags in water, then refrigerate until cold.
