Thai Barbecue Salad
Created by The MDM Team, Monday, October 29, 2007
Loose meat barbecue on salad? You bet! Especially with this unique method.
Ingredients
1/2 cup lime juice
1/2 cup fish sauce
3/4 cup sugar
1 lb. meat, cooked and minced (your choice of meat)
1 bunch of cilantro, chopped
1/2 cup red diced onions
2 tsp. of chili paste in soybean oil
Lettuce
Tomato sliced
Cucumber slices
Methods/steps
1. Mix lime juice, fish sauce and sugar and heat until sugar dissolves. Set aside.
2. Cook the meat and add sauce until it is the desired consistency. You don’t want it to be soupy.
3. Add cilantro, onions and paste.
4. Place on a bed of lettuce; add tomatoes and cucumbers.
5. Leftover sauce can be used as dressing if desired.
