Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
Need a quick, one-dish meal? This hearty, homestyle grub fits the bill. It's filling, tasty and best of all, chock full of veggies!
At a glance
2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 tbsp. butter
1 can low-fat, low-sodium cream of chicken soup
8 ounces frozen mixed vegetables
1 red onion, finely diced
1 tsp. each cumin, parsley, poultry seasoning, seasoned salt and pepper
1 package refrigerated biscuit dough, torn into pieces
Place all ingredients into the slow cooker, except the biscuits. Add enough water or chicken broth to cover. Cover and cook for 5-6 hours on medium. Add torn biscuits one hour prior to serving. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center.
