Seven Times One Chili and Beans
This spicy homestyle chili is ready when you get home from work, making it a low-maintenance weeknight dinner. Serve with cornbread for a real Texas treat.
At a glance
1 lb. lean ground beef or fresh ground turkey breast
1 large onion
1 green pepper
1 large can whole skinless tomatoes
1 can kidney beans
1 can Bush's chili beans
1 package French's chili-o powder (regular or Texas)
Brown meat in non-stick fry pan; drain. Add chopped onions and peppers; saute until translucent. Roughly chop tomatoes in blender (do not puree) to break into small chunks. Mix all ingredients into crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours. Serve with your favorite chili fixings.
