Breaking up is hard to do, particularly when there are hard feelings involved. We've all been there after getting dumped - curled up in the fetal position with a pint of ice cream and a spoon, perhaps with your iPod working through all the sad songs you've got on it. It's perfectly fine to wallow and pine for what could've been, but just remember at some point, you have to get up, shower, eat a salad and move on. Until then, feast your tear-filled eyes on our songs for the dumped. Therapists have identified phases of loss, including sadness, anger and acceptance, so that's how our list is organized. When you just can't believe someone's hurt you so badly and have nothing but revenge on your mind, then tune into these tracks: "Gives You Hell" by All American Rejects and "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morrissette. Feeling like a little profanity could suit the bill? Try "Sh*tlist" by L7 and "Forget You" by Cee Lo Green - feel free to download the uncensored version, which replaces "Forget" with that notorious F bomb. And you can't get more authentic than "Go Your Own Way" by Fleetwood Mac, a song written as members of the band went through their divorce. It's normal to mourn your relationship, so try these tracks when it seems all is lost: "Everybody Hurts" by REM, "I Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt (or try either the Bon Iver or George Michael covers), "Why" by Annie Lennox, "You Were Meant for Me" by Jewel or "Someone Like You" by Adele. Ready to get off that sofa and restart your lovelife? Try these songs: "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor, "Fighter" by Christina Aguilera, "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson, "Don't Dream It's Over" by Crowded House and "Be OK" by Ingrid Michaelson - because you will!
