Classic Mexican Chili Soup

Ingredients

For 1 people

  • 1 pound(s) ground beef
  • 2 cup(s) kidney beans
  • 6 teaspoon(s) fat or bacon drippings
  • 4 ounce(s) hot water
  • 1 can cream of tomato soup
  • 1 cup(s) chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup(s) chopped green peppers
  • 3 teaspoon(s) salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon(s) to 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon(s) vinegar

Directions

  1. Chop onion and pepper and saute in fat.
  2. Add beef and cook until brown.
  3. Place cooked mixture in a 3-quart casserole.
  4. Add kidney beans.
  5. Combine remaining ingredients while stirring until smooth.
  6. Pour into casserole.
  7. Cover and bake in medium oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
