American Idol Gets More Judgmental
SPONSORED:
There will be even more opinions flying on this season of American Idol. The singing show announced the addition of a fourth judge, Kara DioGuardi, this week. DioGuardi is a Grammy-nominated songwriter whose work has appeared on artists' records ranging from Celine Dion to Gwen Stefani and plenty of AI alums, like Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Hicks. According to producer Simon Fuller, having four judges was the original plan.
But not everyone is on board. The original crazy lady judge, Paula Abdul, expressed reservations about the equal amount of estrogen on the panel. She told a Phoenix radio show Monday, "I am concerned about the audience and acceptance. Time will tell. We'll see."
DioGuardi starts immediately -- she'll begin judging the trainwrecks -- um, auditions -- this week.
