Spencer: Too Much Like a Virgin
One half of the powerless couple "Speidi" is up in arms over a Virgin Mobile spoof that he says mocks him and uses his likeness. Spencer Pratt is blasting Virgin Mobile's ad campaign which revolves around a made-for-TV Hollywood couple called "Sparah." Sparah happens to be the combined names of Spencer and Sarah. Apparently, the moniker hits a little too close to home for Pratt. He believes the campaign is a big fat joke, with he and wife Heidi Montag as the punchline. Pratt tells TMZ that he's pissed about being screwed by Virgin. Says Pratt, "They should being paying for using our likeness. It's obvious they are trying to be us. It's nuts how much (Virgin) is promoting them, when they are obviously copying us." Although he stops short of saying he's going to sue Virgin, we'd imagine it's not the last we'll hear of Pratt's protests. One important note that Pratt should consider before launching a legal war... Long before the evolution of Speidi, there was Brangelina, Bennifer and plenty of other "real" celebrities with the one-name combo.
