Kirstie to Maksim: I'll Tumble for Ya
Despite nearly being dropped during her Dancing with the Stars performance, Kirstie Alley still managed to stay cheerful. When professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy suffered some sort of leg injury, both he and the Fat Actress leading lady fell to the floor, stunning both audience and judges alike. Alley and Chmerkovskiy, who were dancing the rumba, quickly got back on their feet and continued as if nothing happened. Their reward? A score of 21 out of 30. Hardly a dancing diva, Alley shook off the incident, saying that although she knew something was going on, she went with the flow, "I was so scared. I knew something was wrong. But then he got up and he was fine, and I thought, 'So what?'?" [Maksim] just controlled me," Alley told Us. "I stood up and said 'I don't know where we are' and he said, 'Just follow me.' So I did!" Alley says that when she gets knocked down, she has no problem getting up again. Says the veteran actress, "When I signed up for this I signed up for live TV, whatever the hell that means. For me, this is a story. I dance, I get an 8, is that a story? No. I'm not saying I don't care about our scores, I do, but I don't give a f*** if we fall down!" To show her support for her injured partner post show, Alley Tweeted, "I salute u... U r a gladiator .... A champion... I'm honored to be your partner." TMZ is reporting that Chmerkovskiy suffered a "charley horse," causing his leg to go out.
