Jon and Kate's Tales from the Parenthood

Just because things have been quiet on the Gosselin front doesn't mean the former reality couple have mended picket fences. In fact, matriarch Kate Gosselin added fuel to what seem like an almost extinguished fire when she bad-mouthed the d-bag dad on a recent episode of Live with Regis and Kelly. The Kate Plus Eight star admitted that the level of tension between she and Jon "depends on the day." The former Dancing with the Stars dud then told Ripa and guest host Anderson Cooper that her eight little angels can't stand to be at their father's new apartment. Says Kate, "I basically wait for the phone call from how many of them want to come home." Kate added that part of the problem is that the kids don't think of Jon's pad as their home. She went on to say that the modest apartment "is not [their] home; it doesn't feel like home to them ... they want to be at home -- in their house." Never the diplomat, Kate then calls a spade a, er, deadbeat admitting that Jon has only started exercising his parental rights in the last three months. Ouch! Of course, Jon couldn't let the opportunity to garner a headline slip by. Following the interview, he Tweeted, "As much as I want to respond to numerous LIES recently claimed on Regis and Kelly, I will refrain. I have learned from the past that it's a waste of my time and energy. I am 'rising above', and refuse to engage in any sort of public argument that could potentially harm or upset my children. My children and the people in my life know the truth, and that is what's important."
