Britney Spears: Spank You Very Much
Sometimes pop singer Britney Spears just can't catch a break. Although she's managed to keep her controversy to a minimum over since her major meltdown, she's back in the headlines through no fault of her own. According to multiple media sources, the comeback queen is being investigated over child abuse charges of all things. The claim is kind of ironic if you consider the fact that Brit herself is under a conservatorship with dad Jamie, which means she's pretty much got her own personal babysitter 24/7. That doesn't leave her much time to go all Mommy Dearest on her kids. Yet somehow, one former employee maintains he witnessed the "Toxic" singer beating the crap out her two boys Sean Preston and Jayden James. Substantial claim or sour grapes? It sounds like the latter, especially upon finding out that accuser Fernando Flores only served a brief stint working security for the Spears' circus. Flores sold, er, told his story to a British tabloid. According to the publicity hound, Spears asked for his belt and proceeded to use it on the kids. Regardless of how baseless the claim seemed, DCF was forced to investigate. A Spears insider tells Radaronline.com the agency didn't find jack, "Social workers visited Britney's house recently about the alleged abuse allegations. Under California law, anytime anyone makes a report to child protective services, a welfare check is required to be made under law to further investigate. It doesn't matter who has made the claim, or how outlandish it may seem. During the visit by officials, there were absolutely no signs of abuse. The boys are happy well adjusted toddlers that love their mama and Britney is fiercely protective of them. The investigation is 95 percent complete and no further action will be required. All that is essentially going to be done at this point is for the paperwork to be finished and then the case will be closed." The source also describes Flores as a fame whore seeking his 15 minutes of fame, "Flores is a former disgruntled employee that is trying to take advantage of Britney."
