Straight Up! Paula Abdul Lands a Job
SPONSORED:
It looks like former American Idol judge Paula Abdul is putting her best foot forward and getting back to her roots. The Opposites Attract singer is set to sign on to CBS' new reality series Got to Dance. The Hollywood Reporter states that Abdul is going to show off her moves in a number of capacities on the new show. "Abdul will serve as the lead judge, executive producer, creative partner, mentor and coach." Now, that's a whole lot of Abdul. Seems as if she's already stolen the show. The reality series is based on a British hit show where contestants face off in a dance competition, which happens to be Abdul's area of expertise. Think American Idol but with dancing. Although she spent years judging wannabe singers on their crooning abilities on Idol, the former Laker girl is actually most well known for her dancing and choreographer. With this new deal in the works, it appears Abdul won't be showing up on soon-to-be-ex Idol judge Simon Cowell's upcoming project The X Factor. Of course, the fiercest competition won't be on the stage -- it will probably be on the television when CBS pits its new dance series against the next season of American Idol, which will be sans Cowell and Abdul.
