Nicholas Brendon, better known as Xander from the WB's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has checked into rehab for alcoholism. The move follows an alcohol-and-sleeping-pill fueled incident where Brendon went hog-wild on police and ended up feeling pretty darned stunned. The violent confrontation with law officials began on the evening of March 17 when the actor went looking for his dog. He knocked on a neighbor's door and when the neighbor told him to take a hike, he kicked the woman's door. She in turn called 911, and when police arrived Brendon was acting so defiant, the cops had no choice but to tase him. The 38-year-old was charged with felony vandalism and released on $20k bail. This isn't Brendon's first time at the rehab rodeo. Brendon, who also has a recurring guest role on Criminal Minds, did a stint in rehab in 2005. The night he was arrested, Brendon had both alcohol and sleeping pills in his system. Radaronline.com is reporting that Brendon told a source that he needs to come clean about his problems, "I'm feeling lucky because alcoholism affected my money management decisions and they are helping me; I was in treatment in 2005 and unfortunately I had a relapse. In the back of my mind, I always knew I had a problem but it became clear to me when I got arrested." Judging by the way he was tased, we're guessing he's probably right.
