Jon Gosselin Learns Payback Is a Bitch
It's official. Jon Gosselin has been ordered to ante up $180,000 that he inappropriately looted from a joint account he shares with soon-to-be-ex Kate Gosselin. The couple had their day in court, and a judge recommended that they work out the errant money situation between themselves. Although the outspoken rivals remained mum after the hearing, TMZ and Radaronline.com are reporting that all monies that have been taken from the account must be repaid by the next hearing on October 26. Jon was accused of taking more than $230,000 while Kate supposedly got her hands on $60,000. The judge had previously told the bickering couple that both parties had to keep their hands off the money unless they got prior approval. Kate's attorney Mark Momijan says, "The remaining sum of $55,000, which Ms. Gosselin used for household bills and expenses relating to the children, will be subject to further determination by the arbitrator at a later date." After the hearing Kate released the following statement, "As difficult as this has been for me, I am pleased that the Court has ruled fairly on behalf of myself and my children. Now that this matter has been ruled on, I look forward to returning to private arbitration, as we have agreed to do, to resolve any remaining issues." Jon, on the other hand, lit up a cigarette as he exited the courthouse and watched his newfound riches go up in smoke... literally and figuratively speaking. Wonder how many tabloid interviews he'll need to do cough up that much cash?
