Dancing's Gilbert Takes a Spill
SPONSORED:
If Melissa Gilbert was hoping to get a"head" of the game on Dancing with the Stars, she went about it all wrong this week. That's because the former Little House on the Prairie star sustained what looked like some serious injuries as she and her partner Maksim Chmerovskiy performed their paso doble. After the performance, in which the actress, who's been plagued by back and neck injuries already, was whipped around and thrown to the floor multiple times, she began feeling dizzy and was rushed to the hospital. Fellow contestant Gavin DeGraw is credited for carrying Gilbert down the stairs from the skybox, and it looks like Gilbert is going to be OK after all. She later tweeted, "Mild concussion and whiplash. Very soon I will be safely home resting and being taken care of." As for her partner, Maks was pretty banged up himself after sustaining an injury at practice. "He hurt his elbow during rehearsal doing one of the tricks," his brother Val Chmerkovskiy told People. "And now he pulled his groin." Gilbert later tweeted her gratitude to both Maks and DeGraw: "@Maksim you are my champion. I adore you," and "@GavinDeGraw bless your heart for carrying me down those stairs!"
