Fans of John Mayer will have to go without seeing his "O" face for longer. The 34-year-old singer was forced to call off his highly anticipated tour after his throat issues resurfaced. Mayer has been sidelined dealing with a granuloma on his vocal chords once again. Mayer took to his Web site to relay the bad news to fans. He explained, "During rehearsal on Tuesday, it came to mind that I should see my throat doctor because something didn't feel/sound right," he wrote. "I went in for a visit on Wednesday and a scope of my vocal cords revealed that the granuloma has grown back where it had mostly healed. This is bad news. Because of this, I have no choice but to take an indefinite break from live performing. Though there will be a day when all of this will be behind me, it will sideline me for a longer period of time than I care to have you count down." The tour was supposed to be in conjunction with the release of his new album, Born and Raised. During his extended hiatus from performing, Mayer informed his groupies he will continue to write. Mayer underwent surgery last October to remove the granuloma and will likely have to undergo another surgery.
