300 Betty Ford Gerard Butler Of Men and Mavericks TMZ pain management painkiller rehab

Hollywood practically has a parade for celebrities on their way into rehab, but somehow, 300 star Gerard Butler sneaked in and out of the Betty Ford Clinic unnoticed. Butler entered rehab to head off a prescription pain medication addiction before it became a problem. He stayed for three weeks and was released last Friday. TMZ reported that the Beowulf and Grendel hottie's addiction troubles began on the set of 300, where his grueling training schedule gave rise to pain management problems. When he was injured back in December on the set of Of Men and Mavericks in a surfing accident, TMZ reports he began relying on too much prescription drugs. The rehab stint was a preemptive strike against a major problem with the meds and cocaine. Butler was spotted in Malibu having lunch solo over the weekend, and his rep issued the following statement: "Gerard left Betty Ford early this morning and he's healthy."
