Halle Berry Engaged!

The third time is a charm. Or three strikes you're out? Depending on how you look at it, marriage number three will either be a blessing or a curse for Hollywood beauty Halle Berry. French actor Oliver Martinez popped the question to the stunning superstar... and she accepted. A source confirmed that the SWAT actor proposed to the 45-year-old actress with an emerald and diamond ring. Berry and Martinez became an item almost a year and a half ago, following her break-up with longtime boyfriend and baby daddy Gabriel Aubtry. Aubry and Berry have one child, daughter Nahla. Although Berry has maintained that she would never walk down the aisle again, it appears she's had a change of heart. One insider tells Star, "Halle is very serious about this marriage. She's ready. Olivier has become her rock." The insider confirms that Martinez also has a strong bond with little Nahla. Says the source, "Halle feels Olivier has made a connection and a commitment to her and her daughter." They also plan on expanding their family, one way or another. "Halle would love to have more kids, but she knows it might be difficult because of her age and the fact that she's diabetic. If they can't conceive, they'd definitely consider adoption." Insiders believe that Berry's relationship with Martinez was strong enough to make her lift her moratorium on marriage. Says the insider, "Deciding to marry again is huge for Halle. But friends have never seen her this happy and fulfilled." Berry was previously married to ballplayer David Justice and singer Eric Benet.
