Mindy McCready: From Country Singer to Kidnapper?
Access Hollywood Facebook Mindy McCready addict addiction celebrity pregnancy custody

Troubled country singer Mindy McCready is making headlines again. This time it's for allegedly kidnapping her 5-year-old son, Zander. Ironically, that's not even the most shocking news to come out of the whole incident. McCready is supposedly five months pregnant with twins. So far there's no word on who the babies' daddy is. According to the cops, the recovering addict picked up her son from his father's house earlier this week. However, she never returned him. Although she doesn't have custody of her son, McCready maintains she's done nothing wrong. She told Access Hollywood, "I am working with lawyers to try to get all this straightened out. I did not steal my child, as it would be impossible for me to kidnap what already belongs to me! There never was any missing persons report and never an Amber Alert." Obviously, the 36-year-old trainwreck and the legal system see things way differently. Radaronline.com is reporting that DCF had a hearing where the judge issued a warrant for McCready's arrest if her son is not returned. McCready made her best attempt to resolve the situation by posting on Facebook and calling it "nothing but lies." She wrote, "FB Friends I know it has been a long time since you have heard from me... I have been fighting the Florida court system to protect my son, and bring him home. Wink TV has once again reported nothing but lies and they are most likely being supported by the attorney for DCF child services. There is NO AMBER ALERT and my son is not missing! Detectives from the Cape Coral Police department established that this afternoon via Skype. Please do not worry or support anything they continue to lie about!! Thanks Always.... Mindy." Despite a once successful music career, McCready has been marred by jail stints, suicide attempts and other drama, which is why the courts are probably so desperate to get little Zander back.
