Eddie Van Halen Jumps Back Into Marriage

Recovering alcoholic Eddie Van Halen wed his longtime girlfriend Janie Liszewski over the weekend, proving the guitarist isn't just hot for teacher. The ceremony proved to be a real family affair with Eddie's 18-year-old son Wolfgang acting as the best man and brother Alex, an ordained minister, performing the ceremony. Even Eddie's former wife of 25 years, Valerie Bertinelli, got in on the act by attending the ceremony. The bride walked down the idol to Van Halen's hit song "When It's Love." Better that than "Running with the Devil." Janie's mother gave her away after she was walked down the aisle by her Pomeranian pooch. Although Janie may have been decked out in her custom-designed dress, the same can't be said about Eddie's designer-yet-disheveled duds. He showed up in cotton pants, a buttoned-down shirt that was untucked and flip-flops. And nothing says class like an appetizer selection consisting of mini burgers, corn dogs, French fries and nonalcoholic drinks from the lemonade bar. Lucky for guests, the white-trash theme wasn't present for the dinner, which featured filet mignon, rosemary chicken, prawns, grilled vegetables and more. The happy couple toasted their new union with apple cider and pear juice in honor of the rehabilitated singer's sobriety. Guests were sent packing with Calvin Klein and Kate Spade vases and flowers, along with ring pops, candy necklaces, pop rocks and other '80s-flavored candies.
