Wonder if Jennifer Aniston is going to change her tune about boyfriend John Mayer after receiving her birthday gift. Many people expected the Friends star to receive an engagement ring. According to People she got a ring all right, but it won't be wrapped around her finger. Instead of popping the question and bequeathing her with something sparkly, Mayer gave his galpal the gift of song. If the 40-year-old actress was expecting a proposal, we're guessing this was hardly music to her ears. A source told

People, "He did write a special song just for her for her birthday." Talk about getting off cheap. Maybe he'll cut her in some of the royalties when it's a big hit.
