Rourke Ain't Ready to Rumble

Looks like Rourke isn't going to be putting his money where his mouth is. The Wrestler actor won't be showing any love at the 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania after all. In what appears to be nothing more than a publicity stunt, the Oscar-nominated actor probably realized that the WWE is a little beneath him at this point in his career. While it would have been a nice tie-in with his heavily-hyped film, someone thought better of having Rourke appear at the blockbuster event... and it probably wasn't him. Rourke had told E! News that he was hot for Chris Jericho, going so far as to tell the wrestler, "You better get in shape because I'm coming after your ass." But all bets are off now. Rourke's rep issued a statement saying, "Mickey was very honored to be asked, as he has the greatest respect for WWE. However, he will not be participating in WrestleMania. He is focusing entirely on his acting career." It appears someone is trying to save face... literally.
