Talk about putting a damper on the evening. Mad Men star Christina Hendricks freaked out when she lost a borrowed bracelet worth a whopping $850,000 at the Golden Globe Awards Sunday night, according to Radaronline.com. The 124-carat bracelet was one of two that Hendricks had on loan from the high-end jeweler Chopard. Somehow the baubles managed to escape from her wrist while she was walking the famed red carpet prior to the show. It was no act when the desperate diva began searching frantically for the stunning stones. Eyewitnesses heard Hendricks exclaim, "Have you seen a diamond bracelet? I've lost one that looks like this," while pointing to the perfect match on her other wrist. Although the costly piece was recovered by an event worker, the actress was unable to close it around her wrist. Having had her fill of diamond drama for the evening, she pleaded with a security guard to let her hook up with a publicist outside of the heavily guarded ballroom where no one gets in -- or out -- once the show is underway. Lucky for Hendricks, the guard acquiesced and Hendricks gave the handoff to one of her peeps. A spokesperson for the jewelry company maintains that a security guard was on-hand to make sure nothing happened to the gems. A spokesperson says that bracelets were returned in one piece, "Whoever put it on her wrist may have not closed the safety clasp correctly. But both bracelets and her earrings were returned in perfect condition today."
