Fantasia's Suicide Attempt: A Pregnant Pause

Season 2 American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino wrecked more than her boyfriend's home, according to her shocking testimony in court during divorce proceedings of her boyfriend, Antwaun Cook. Things have gotten ugly in court for the tangled love triangle - North Carolina, where Antwaun and Paula Cook are divorcing, is just one of seven states with an Alienation of Affection law in place. Basically, Paula Cook can sue her ex's lover if it's proved that Fantasia and Antwaun carried on during the marriage. A Mecklenburg County judge grilled the singer on whether she knew Antwaun was living with Paula when they first got together, and why the couple would meet at a hotel just a few days after meeting. No media were allowed in court, but one insider told Radaronline.com, "Paula's lawyer is arguing that they got the room because she knew he was still married." One more complication of the case was Fantasia's explosive confession that around the time of her suicide attempt in August, after the debacle went public, she was pregnant and aborted Antwaun's baby. "Paula is not doing too well, having to hear all this in court and replay it all over, she's emotionally torn," a source close to the former Mrs. Cook said. We're guessing she's up for more court action if it means getting a crack at Fantasia's wallet.
