Sounds like Bristol Palin has a bit more to worry about than just "haters." The surprise semifinalist on Dancing with the Stars allegedly received fan mail of the potentially dangerous variety on the set late Friday. According to TMZ, emergency responders that included FBI Hazardous Materials officials and LAPD officers were called to CBS Television City to investigate a "threatening letter" that contained a white powder. Sources say it was addressed to Bristol Palin, but officials won't comment on the target. "Just as in any case, we don't confirm the identity of a victim based on privacy and security concerns," FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller told People. The powder turned out to be simply talcum, or baby powder, but the area was evacuated for a short time. Palin has been the subject of controversy on the show, going into the finals next week, despite having the lowest scores of any contestant for much of the season's run. Critics cite a conspiracy to keep the teen mom on the show, spearheaded by her mother's Tea Party cronies who allegedly exploited ABC's flawed voting system. Despite earning the derision of the show's judges, Bristol beat out the likes of Brandy and Audrina Patridge, admittedly better dancers. And if that wasn't enough reason for some crazed fan to send powder to her, Bristol and her sister used homophobic slurs against a classmate when he criticized their mother's new show, Sarah Palin's Alaska.
