During a time when Christian Bale should be flying high over the success of The Dark Knight, the actor is having to field questions after being arrested for allegedly assaulting his mom and sister. While many people might be jumping to the conclusion that Bale is an American psycho, hold the Batphone. It seems there may be more to the "assault" charge than meets the eye. According to TMZ, sources say that Bale pushed his mother out of the way during an argument. Bale's sister Sharon said, "OK, there was an incident, but the police are dealing with it. It is an extremely sensitive situation. There is nothing more I can say." There are a few reasons we have a problem taking the claims seriously. For starters, both his mother and sister were a circus act...really. Mom was a clown and a dancer in the circus, and sis was a dancer in the circus. Meanwhile, Christian left home at 17 and went on to become one of the most famous actors in Hollywood. He's in town for the premiere of his blockbuster film, and suddenly these two clowns are all over the media. Also, they deny calling the police, but the Telegraph is revealing that the two women went to the station to make the allegation. Sources also say the brouhaha came out of a long-running family dispute.
