Jon Gosselin Up for a Reality Check?

While Kate and the 8 are living off the fat of the TLC land, it looks like Jon Gosselin is once again setting his sights on the prospect of landing a reality television gig. Radaronline.com is reporting that the Octodad was spotted out and about in Venice, Calif., with Canaan Rubin, a one-time Entertainment Tonight employee who's now a reality show producer. While it's possible the two men are actually bosom buddies, it's more likely that they're shopping around the idea of a reality show. Any opportunity would probably come as a giant relief to Gosselin who is currently out of work, while ex-wife Kate continues to prosper with not one, but TWO, TLC reality shows. Rubin might have something in the works, considering he was recently spotted hanging around with fellow disgraced dad Levi Johnston. Johnston is in the process of shopping an Alaska-based adventure show. If Gosselin did actually find a network that would be willing to gainfully employ him, he'd likely have to get approval from TLC who he is still under contract with. For a guy without a steady income, Gosselin has been doing a whole lot of globetrotting. In the past week, he's also been in Washington, D.C., and New York City. But whether near or far, Gosselin has been careful to publicly decry how much he misses those eight little faces. He Tweeted, "Didn't have custody this weekend. Enjoyed spending time with Ellen in NYC.(her 1st time) missed kids terribly, but spoke with them every hour." Sounds like Gosselin is talking... smack that is!
