Oprah Winfrey spoke to Stanford's 2008 graduating class last weekend, and she bestowed one of her famous giveaways on the grads. But instead of the pomp and circumstance of getting cars, this class got summer reading and plenty of it. The generous gabber brought copies of Daniel Pink's A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future and Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose for every graduate. For some reason, we think they were just a wee bit less enthusiastic than her usual audience?
